    Abstract
ECG is one of the most important parameters for various cardiac ailments and heart rate monitoring. In this work, A real time Raspberry-pi based ECG monitoring system is developed for the automatic detection of cardio-vascular diseases. The system gives the answer for the prompt diagnosis of fatal heart ailments in geographic areas with limited resources. User-friendly nature of the system makes it much easier to use and without the assistance of a medical specialist. First, Raspberry-Pi collects user-specific information via an ECG application designed exclusively for Android smartphones. Two-Lead ECG signal from the sensors is obtained from the four limb electrodes which is then, converted to its digital equivalent using ADC of Arduino Nano board. This data is then passed to Raspberry Pi through USB port where it is further preprocessed for noise removal from each lead. The clean ECG is then processed for lead seperation, feature extraction and disease classification in real time. A text report with user information along with a generated analysis report and ECG graph is then mailed to the doctor through SMTP library in R-Pi.
