    Abstract
This work focuses on a cattle monitoring wearable device which has been deployed in the field previously. In this phase we have developed and optimized the algorithms both in hardware and software. There have been numerous challenges in the project and one such challenge is the accommodation of several transmitters with more than one receiver that is synchronized with the GPS. The limitations of the physical capacity of the channels within the radio was mitigated by coming up with a novel synchronization scheme that is presented in this report. Hardware developments to aid installation and maintenance are discussed. Furthermore, field trials of the proposed system have been conducted and the results are analysed.
