    Abstract
In a concrete plant, the batch plant controls are needed to control and monitorthe amount of ingredients to be mixed to form concrete. This report presents designconsiderations for a novel batch mix controller. In the proposed architecture atime based analog to digital converter (ADC) is implemented. The weighing erroris only 0.4%. The proposed architecture has a higher sampling frequency of 400Hzfor a single channel. For four channels sampling frequency achieved is 100Hz foreach channel. As batch mix controller is placed at remote place a wireless communicationfacility is provided using GSM modem. Input protection circuit is usedto protect the hardware from overvoltage, overcurrent and reverse voltage. Thehardware disconnects from the power supply when current in the hardware increasesabove 2.25A (up to 100A), when supply voltage's polarity is reversed (upto 80V), when supply voltage increases above 15.6V (up to 500V).
